[Report] India: Social Protection : State of Aadhaar

stateofaadhaar.in (2017) The Government of India aims to provide a comprehensive set of safety nets to India’s poor, including food subsidies, employment guarantees, and targeted cash transfers. Financial leakages and service delivery issues, however, reduce its effectiveness. The government aims to use Aadhaar’s authentication and fund transfer capabilities to address these problems.

Social security goes digital: Quicker and easier exchange of social security information throughout the EU and beyond

Philippine Identification System empowers citizens to exercise rights and allows access to services

OpenGovAsia (28.05.2018) The establishment of the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) will enable Filipinos to have proof of identity, to exercise rights and privileges and to access vital services. Education, social protection, healthcare, banking and finance are some of the vital services that can be accessed by the Filipinos once the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) is established, said one of the principal authors of the measure creating a national identification system in the country.

El País (02.11.2016) Es, sin duda, la primera reforma que debe afrontar el nuevo Gobierno. Afecta a 6,7 millones de españoles y la evolución demográfica en nuestro país augura la ruina del sistema si no se toman medidas. El sistema público de pensiones requerirá 120.000 millones de euros este año, lo que supone en torno a un tercio del gasto público total de España y equivale al doble del gasto en Sanidad y tres veces el de Educación. La hucha, que se fue llenando en los años de mayor crecimiento económico y de empleo, se vaciará en diciembre de 2017.
