Según los datos divulgados por el Instituto Nacional de la Seguridad Social (INSS), se trata del mayor déficit desde 1995, cuando empezó la serie histórica, y supera el de 2016, de 46.800 millones de dólares. El aumento de un año al otro fue del 21,8 por ciento en este régimen general.
