Federal Public Service Employment, Labor and Social Dialogue (30.10.2020). The law of 23 October 2020 extends, as October 1st, to salaried workers the benefit of the temporary unemployment scheme for force majeure due to corona in the event of the closure of the school, daycare or reception center for disabled people of their child introduced.

Federal Public Service Employment, Labor and Social Dialogue (30.10.2020) The law of 23 October 2020 extending the benefit of the temporary unemployment scheme to salaried workers in the event of the closure of the school, daycare or reception center for disabled people of their child was introduced from the October 1, 2020. Initially, it was proposed to extend the regulation relating to corona parental leave which was applicable until September 30 for these situations but this proposal was transformed into temporary unemployment. Workers can benefit from this new regulation from October 1,

Tajikistan: Cash assistance for struggling families in Tajikistan amid the pandemic

The Government of Tajikistan is working with the World Bank to provide support to low-income families in Tajikistan through the Tajikistan Emergency COVID-19 (TEC-19) Project. Up to 50,000 families with children under the age of 3, who are registered as poor in the national program of the Targeted Social Assistance (TSA), will receive one-off payments of 500 TJS (around US$50) in order to offset the impacts of the pandemic. 20,000 families have already received this vital support, which is helping them cover essential needs such as food and medication.

Japan: Single-parent temporary special allowance

Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (09.10.2020) Single-parent temporary special allowance is paid to single-parent households if;

1. they receives child-rearing allowances of June 2020;

2. their child-rearing allowances of June 2020 are suspended due to receiving public pensions; or

3. their income dropped as low as child-rearing allowance beneficiaries.

Japan: Special supplement to child benefits

Cabinet office (01.05.2020) Special supplement of 10,000 yen per a child is automatically added to child benefits. Beneficiaries who received a child benefit for April 2020 are entitled to the supplement. The government pays for the funding and local municipalities administers the supplement as well as original child benefit.
