Social Security Agreement between China and Japan Comes in Effect

china-briefing (03.09.2019) The Social Security Agreement between China and Japan took effect September 1, 2019, according to China’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security (MHRSS). The agreement will allow Chinese and Japanese nationals working in the other country to avoid paying part of the social insurance.

China: Telehealth services to be introduced in Tibetan hospitals

Xinhua (16.08.2019) The General Hospital of the People's Liberation Army (PLAGH) said Friday that it will set up 45 stations of remote medical services in public hospitals in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region in five years. PLAGH and the regional government reached a framework agreement on health and poverty alleviation in Lhasa, capital of Tibet on Friday. PLAGH will provide free telemedicine services for Tibetan hospitals, according to the agreement.

China: Aging population spurs integrated elderly care services

China.org.cn (07.08.2019) In February this year, the National Health Commission (NHC) launched a pilot program - the Internet Plus Nursing Services - in six provincial-level regions including Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Guangdong, in an attempt to make use of nurses' spare time to provide door-to-door nursing services. Under the program, discharged patients and disabled people can apply for registered nurses to serve them at home via an online system.

Japan's upper house approves social insurance agreement with China

Nikkei Asian Review (01.12.2018)  Deal will relieve Japanese employees from double-paying pension contributions. The plenary session of Japan's upper house unanimously on Friday morning approved a bilateral social welfare agreement with China that will eliminate the requirement for their nationals to pay contributions into both countries' systems when they reside in each other's territory.
