Medical committees issue decisions determining the percentage of disability caused by occupational accidents or diseases. Moreover they intervene in the cases of discrepancies over treatment or advice concerning return to work, and to determine the occupational nature of an accident. The management model used is entirely digital and provides a simple, effective and rapid tool for workers, reducing the time taken to process each step and offering the possibility of providing medical consultations when the application is made by the worker, thereby improving the service.

The new software tool called "System of Social Security Obligations Calculation (Sistema de Cálculo de Obligaciones de la Seguridad Social (SiCOSS)) - Inspection Certificate Module" streamlines the collection and distribution of social security contributions debt from inspection.

This tool makes the processes of debt determination and notification, in the area of social security funds, faster and simpler.

Web application that allows salaried workers to obtain an official certificate of their incomes, validated by the Federal Administration of Public Revenue (Administración Federal de Ingresos Públicos (AFIP)). Workers can use this certificate, issued by the national Government, as a proof of income, presenting it as a backup on loans, rent or warranty. Moreover, the receiving entity (business, bank, etc.) can check the certificate online at the AFIP website and confirm its veracity.

Following a labour court ruling, determining whether a work relationship truly existed based on certain contractual circumstances, it is necessary to record the data collected from such rulings in order to formalize the collection of the social security debt and record the social security history of the employment relationship for the benefit of the worker.

One of the main problems in our society is undeclared employment, with the consequences that it entails, especially in its impact on the most vulnerable sectors of society.

This application seeks to facilitate and expedite the paperwork and queries that citizens carry out daily. In only one year of implementation, this application reached more than 190,000 total downloads in Android systems, with a rating of 3.72 stars out of 5, assigned by users.

The National Prevention Programme for Different Branches of Activity formulates policies to prevent occupational risks in a multi-sectoral manner. In terms of risks and the impact of work accidents, the particularities of different branches of activity, both from goods and service industries, has motivated the Superintendency to undertake the initiative of launching this program.

This is a simplified online registration system which identifies current domestic work employment relationships, by providing notifications of the employment and dismissal of staff.

The social security system in Chile grants workers the right to take leave or to reduce their working day hours when faced with a disease that creates temporary disability. This right is materialized in an instrument called “medical leave”. Formal proceedings to obtain this leave must be carried out in person, filling in paper forms. These proceeding can be cumbersome and inefficient.

On December 2012, a total of 32,103 covered patients had been waiting for 432 days (on average) to undergo a surgical procedure, which translated into 50 per cent of dissatisfaction and reliability loss that showed up in several surveys.

The Repeatable Medical Prescriptions Programme aims to keep track of prescriptions for beneficiaries who go to first and second level medical units and follow controlled treatments for chronic-degenerative diseases, so that the patient can refill their medication over a period of 90 days, i.e. on the first consultation and the following two months. This optimizes the agenda of doctors who can provide services to other patients.

Under the Adult Overweight and Obesity Preventive and Curative Programme (Programa de Prevención y Regresión del Sobrepeso y Obesidad (PPRESyO)), the follow-up of patients used to be done empirically by means of a flat file, which resulted in lack of monitoring. For this reason, it was necessary to develop a user-friendly and intuitive technological platform to improve the service. This platform consists of tools for nutritional diagnosis, a calculator of protein and carbohydrate distribution, and the monitoring of the patient's diet.

During the second half of 2013 and the first of half 2014, a comprehensive analysis including all delegations and national administrative units identified the need to develop a tool to provide information and advice to beneficiaries in relation to their personal loans, thus avoiding unnecessary visits to the offices of the State Employees' Social Security and Social Services Institute (Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores del Estado (ISSSTE)).
