Arte (20.03.2019) Bien sûr, le Brexit reste le feuilleton dramatique du moment. Mais l’Union européenne avance aussi pour renforcer les droits aux aides sociales des personnes qui travaillent et vivent dans un autre pays européen que le leur. Dans ce journal, nous irons aussi en Italie, où Matteo Salvini devrait échapper à la justice et nous partirons en Hongrie où Viktor Orban se prépare à sa possible exclusion du Parti populaire européen. Enfin, pourquoi ne pas revenir sur notre vision de l’Union européenne, qui fait l’objet de sondages aux résultats parfois étonnants ?

Being given staff and powers should allow German customs officials to adopt a tougher line against undeclared work.

Germany needs a quarter of a million migrant workers a year

EurActiv (20.02.2019) Germany is dependent on migrant workers but a decreasing number of them will be EU citizens in the future. In the long term, about 146,000 immigrants from outside of the EU will have to be integrated into the German labour market every year, according to a recent study. EURACTIV Germany reports.

Pour lutter contre la fraude au détachement, la Cour des comptes prône dans son rapport annuel un renforcement des sanctions administratives et pénales, notamment en termes de fermeture de chantiers ou d'établissements, et de mise en cause des donneurs d'ordres et maîtres d'ouvrage

Labour migration: New ILO figures show 164 million people are migrant workers

ILO News (05.12.2018) The International Labour Organization (ILO) estimates that 164 million people are migrant workers – a rise of 9 per cent since 2013, when they numbered 150 million. According to the 2nd edition of the ILO’s Global Estimates on International Migrant Workers , which covers the period between 2013 and 2017, the majority of migrant workers – 96 million – are men, while 68 million are women.
