The government website (04.07.2020) The cabinet and social partners have reached final agreement on the details of the pension agreement. The new system will be more transparent. Workers and retirees gain a clearer insight into the accumulated assets. It also provides a realistic expectation and offers more prospects for a high-purchasing pension. The pension entitlements from the current system will be abandoned, thus eliminating the need for the use of actuarial interest and funding ratios. As a result, pensions and benefits can move faster with the state of the economy than is currently

Netherlands: Parliament agrees to Dutch pensions reform but questions remain

Fiji: Pensioners Assistance

National Provident Fund (30.03.2020) The Fund has decided to waive renewal certificate submissions for all Pensioners whose certificates were due in March, April, May or June and pay based on the presumption of life. This decision was implemented in light of preventative measures against COVID-19 to discourage our senior members from visiting public open or crowded places. This will be reviewed again in respect of the duration of the public restrictions that are currently in place.

Fiji: FNPF Pensioners to receive COVID-19 relief

National Provident Fund (26.05.2020) More than 7,000 Fiji National Provident Fund pensioners will receive a COVID-19 relief payment today,Tuesday 26 May 2020. The payment, which ranges from $300 to $900, will be disbursed directly to the Fund’s active pensioners. Chief Executive Officer Jaoji Koroi said the Fund was able to provide this one-off payment to pensioners,following amendments to the FNPF Act.

New Zealand: Paying clients stranded overseas

Ministry of Social Development (18.08.2020) We're working hard to make sure clients who are out of the country and are unable to return because of the COVID-19 pandemic are financially supported. When you leave New Zealand temporarily some payments stop straight away, some are paid for up to 28 days, and New Zealand Super and Veteran's Pension is paid for up to 26 weeks. Under a COVID-19 special assistance programme we're able to make your payments until you can return to New Zealand. This programme is currently only available until 20 October 2020.

Fortunately, the solution is easy and straightforward. But Congress must act.

Brasil: INSS extends anticipation of the Benefit of Continuous Provision (BPC) and Sickness until October 31

This measure will benefit retirees holding these products by reducing the need to sell investment assets to fund minimum drawdown requirements.

boliviasegura.gob.bo (31.07.2020) El Decreto Supremo 4303 autoriza, de manera excepcional, el pago anticipado del Aguinaldo de la Renta Dignidad, por la Gestión 2020 a los Beneficiarios de la Renta Universal de Vejez (Renta Dignidad). El aguinaldo normalmente se paga en diciembre, y ahora se adelanta a agosto.
