Moreover they intervene in the cases of discrepancies over treatment or advice concerning return to work, and to determine the occupational nature of an accident. The management model used is entirely digital and provides a simple, effective and rapid tool for workers, reducing the time taken to process each step and offering the possibility of providing medical consultations when the application is made by the worker, thereby improving the service.

The creation and promotion of basic standards of occupational health and safety

The General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) implements an occupational hazards insurance, which provides medical coverage against job related injuries and diseases as well as financial compensation if applicable. Through its operations, GOSI observed a steady increase in the number of work related injuries which has prompted it to issue basic standards of occupational health and safety, and promote these standards to employers and employees alike. This has led to a sharp reduction in the number of injuries and has spread the culture of prevention on the national level.
