Mais ils ont également décidé… qu’il fallait être en bonne santé pour être heureux. La santé en Afrique a été plombée par des années de sous-investissement et de croissance démographique accélérée : l’Afrique sub-saharienne compte 1 médecin et 10 lits d’hôpital pour 10.000 habitants (l’OMS préconisant un ratio de 7 médecins et 30 lits d’hôpital).

azactu.net (23.05.2017) Le bureau international du travail (Bit) a initié un atelier tripartite des mandats de l’OIT et des partenaires au développement en Afrique de l’Ouest et du centre sur la mise en place des socles de protection sociale. C’est dans le but d’aider ces pays de l’Afrique avec un appui surtout technique à atteindre les objectifs de la protection sociale en 2030.

OECD Library (24.04.2017) This strategic foresight report assesses the interaction between demographics, economic development, climate change and social protection in six countries in East Africa between now and 2065: Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia. The report combines population projections with trends in health, urbanisation, migration and climate change and identifies the implications for economic development and poverty.
