Ministry of Innovation and Technology (16.04.2020) From April 16, 2020, the Employment Protection Wage Subsidy will be available to support reduced working hours employment. An employee may receive support on the basis of an application submitted jointly with the employer to the county government office. In the program, the employer undertakes not to terminate the employee’s employment and pays wages for the employee’s working hours and individual development time. The employee agrees to perform work and is available to the employer during the individual development time.

Pursuant to Government Decree 141/2020 (IV.21.), The application for reduced working hours will change. Please follow our website! 

105/2020 on the support of reduced working hours during emergencies in the framework of the Economic Protection Action Plan. (IV. 10.) of the Government, an employee may receive support on the basis of an application submitted jointly with the employer to the county government office (hereinafter: government office) acting as a public employment body, if the company working hours are used. In the program, the employer undertakes not to terminate the employee’s employment and pays wages for the employee’s working hours and individual development time, the employee agrees to perform work and is available to the employer during the individual development time,

Support is available from April 16th.

The new rules of the reduced-time employment allowance have been published in issue 82 of the Hungarian Gazette and will enter into force on 29 April. Forms complying with the new rules will be posted soon.
