A loan payment protection fund (Fondo de Protección de Desgravamen): An actuarial model to benefit teachers in the Peruvian education system

The Derrama Magisterial (DM) has begun offering a number of services in accordance with the terms of its Statutes, and one noteworthy scheme involves providing credit to member teachers at a preferential rate of interest. Such credit, along with other types of investment, helps support the organization, and contributes above all to providing pension-related benefits to member teachers and their dependents.

Design, implementation and evaluation of specific strategies to prevent and reduce worker absenteeism and sick leaves

Often, the interests of workers and employers are not the same, so addressing absenteeism as it relates to the health and safety of workers is an ethical and social commitment.

This good practice aims to reduce absenteeism arising from respiratory, musculoskeletal, mental and cardiac diseases, which are among the most frequent conditions among workers of the Catholic Workers’ Circle of the Uruguay Mutual Fund (Círculo Católico de Obreros del Uruguay Mutualista – CCOUM).

Documentation and workflow platform

This good practice comprises a workflow platform which automates a series of actions, activities and tasks performed by users when executing certain established processes. This allows work on the implementation and improvement of routine processes to be coordinated and organized. The platform integrates workflows, the requisite documentation, and internal and external services throughout the organization and allows processes to feed into one another which otherwise would be carried out in isolation.

Information and awareness-raising campaign for interns and apprentices on vocational training for the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases

Since 2016 the National Social Insurance Fund for Employees (Caisse nationale des assurances sociales des travailleurs salaries – CNAS) has conducted a national programme financed by its prevention fund. The aim of this information and awareness-raising programme for interns and apprentices on vocational training for the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases is to be proactive with future workers by providing them with knowledge and good practices in the field of occupational health and safety.

Integrating special schemes (internal retirement funds of several public establishments) into the Collective Scheme for Retirement Allowances (RCAR)

Prior to the introduction of the Collective Scheme for Retirement Allowances (Régime collectif d’allocation de retraite – RCAR) in 1978 and in the absence of a statutory retirement scheme to cover them, several public establishments in Morocco managed their own retirement funds (special schemes, railway workers, mining personnel, water and electricity managers). This however suffered from the following limitations and drawbacks:

Implementation of a fully computerized and versatile multi-scheme, multi-product organizational and technological management platform (“Usine Prévoyance”)

The Collective Scheme for Retirement Allowances (Régime collectif d’allocation de retraite – RCAR) has introduced a fully computerized and versatile multi-scheme, multiproduct organizational and technological management platform, consisting of a multi-channel Customer Relations Centre (agencies, a call centre, web/mobile, social networks), a multiproduct Payment Centre, and a computerized Back Office that is integrated with RCAR’s partners.
