UN Women (27.02.2017) La Ley de Cuidados de Uruguay ha cambiado el concepto de “cuidado”. De acuerdo a la nueva ley, todas las niñas y niños, las personas con discapacidad y las personas mayores tienen derecho a recibir atención. El Estado no sólo proporciona servicios de atención, sino que garantiza su calidad mediante la capacitación y la reglamentación. Para Soledad Rotella, las consecuencias han sido inmediatas: como madre de una niña de dos años, ahora puede buscar un trabajo a jornada completa, sin poner en peligro el bienestar de su hija.
