Oman: Public Authority for Social Insurance projects bag six certificates

timesofoman (02.10.2018) The Sultanate, represented by the Public Authority for Social Insurance, has received six certificates of merit in the International Social Security Association (ISSA) Award for Good Practices in the Department of Social Security.
The announcement was made at the Regional Forum on Social Security for Asia and the Pacific, organised by International Social Security Association from October 2 to 4, 2018, hosted by the Malaysian Social Security Corporation in Kuala Lumpur.

Muscat: The Sultanate, represented by the Public Authority for Social Insurance, has received six certificates of merit in the International Social Security Association (ISSA) Award for Good Practices in the Department of Social Security.

The announcement was made at the Regional Forum on Social Security for Asia and the Pacific, organised by International Social Security Association from October 2 to 4, 2018, hosted by the Malaysian Social Security Corporation in Kuala Lumpur.

Among the awarded projects were,the prize provided by the authority in the Sultanate every two years for the best scientific research in the fields of social insurance for researchers at various university levels.

Another project is the Smart Inspection System which inspects work injuries and occupational diseases. This system is designed to limit the phenomenon of non-registration of those insured, and delays in providing accurate data by employers, as well as save effort and money of customers.



The third project was to develop a new strategic asset allocation model to increase investment in assets of growth and establish a clear plan for the assets to be invested by the Authority for the coming years.
