The technology is expected to process more than 60 mn documents annually for Daman, which serves over three million members across the country. PureHealth said more than 80% of documents are expected to be converted into structured digital data, reducing processing times from days to minutes. Manual rework is projected to fall by more than 50%. The system is intended to reduce manual data entry and identify missing or incomplete information when documents are submitted. It will support policyholder requests ranging from enrolments and endorsements to more complex claims. Daman expects the automation to reduce errors and follow-up requests while freeing staff to spend more time on fraud detection, clinical quality assurance and member support.
