Employment and Social Situation Quarterly indicates less long-term unemployed and more convergence between Member

Europa (28.06.2016) Today, the Commission published its summer edition of the Employment and Social Situation Quarterly review (ESSQR). The review confirmed an increase of the overall employment rate, for both the EU and the euro area – an increase representing 3 million more employed people in the EU than one year before.

Le Monde (20.06.2016) Elle tient bon. Alors que les Français commencent l’été entre morosité et angoisse, sur fond de tensions sociales exacerbées et de menace terroriste renouvelée, l’embellie économique se poursuit. La croissance hexagonale devrait atteindre 1,6 % en 2016, a indiqué l’Insee dans sa note de conjoncture, jeudi 16 juin. Jusqu’à présent, l’institut laissait entendre que l’objectif du gouvernement, une hausse de 1,5 % après + 1,2 % en 2015, était à portée de main.
