España: Las pensiones solo serán sostenibles en 2050 si se crean 10 millones de empleos

El País (11.07.2016) Una de las primeras tareas del nuevo Gobierno será estabilizar el sistema de pensiones. Los ingresos no son suficientes desde 2012 para pagar las prestaciones mientras el Fondo de Reserva se apagará en 2017 tras una lenta agonía. Las señales de alarma llegan desde dentro y fuera de España. Uno de los últimos en instar a la búsqueda de soluciones ha sido BBVA Research.

Bloomberg (06.07.2016) The Affordable Care Act was meant to have a particular impact on smokers when it was enacted: It would shift the burden of high health-care costs from smoking ailments to the smokers themselves—17 percent of American adults in 2014. At the same time, the ACA would keep making progress toward the goal of universal health care, even for smokers.

Ausralia: Obese preschoolers have 60 percent higher healthcare costs than healthy weight children

sciencedaily.com (06.07.2016) Obese children aged 2-5 years old are two to three times more likely to be admitted to hospital and have 60 percent higher healthcare costs than healthy weight children, a study an Australian research team has found. This is the first study to reveal the higher direct health care costs of obesity in preschool aged children compared with those of normal weight.

Sénégal: Les maux de la Couverture maladie universelle

Sen 24 heures (04.07.2016) Le programme de Couverture maladie universelle (CMU) vise un taux de 75 % en 2017. À un an et demi de l’échéance, le pourcentage se situe à 47 %. Dans le dossier qu’Enquête a consacré à la CMU dans son édition de ce lundi, le directeur général de l’Agence de la CMU, Cheikh Mbengue, se veut optimiste. « L’objectif est atteignable, clame-t-il. (…) Avec ce que nous sommes en train de faire, nous espérons qu’il y aura un basculement vers les mutuelles de santé d’ici à 2017.
