More relief underway for persons both with the financial unemployment relief as well as for the food assistance. Financial assistance, which has benefitted 23,705 persons as of now, will be extended up to December of this year. In his address, PM Barrow explained that with funds that remain from the first phase of the unemployment relief program along with additional finances secured from the Inter-American Development Bank as well as from the Central American Bank for Economic Integration, (CABEI), an additional 50 thousand unemployed persons will be able to be assisted for a period that should last through to December.
