CM announces Rs 1,000 each for Anganwadi & Asha workers, free travel for women in UTC buses

Dehradun: Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat announced that Rs 1,000 would be credited into the accounts of each Anganwadi and Asha worker in the State. This will benefit about 50,000 Anganwadi and Asha workers.

An accredited social health activist (ASHA) is a community health worker instituted by the government of India's Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) as a part of the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM).
