All citizens of Tuvalu are to get just over $US17 a month.

Overseas students are eligible for grants between $US44 and $US88 dollars a month.

Civil servants overseas will get $US53 dollars a day and a risk allowance for police of $US44 a day.

The government said the money had come both from donors and from national budget savings
