Water and Sewerage customers across the Territory have been given a month’s suspension in payment of their water charges.

Director of the Water and Sewerage Department Mrs. Perline Scatliffe-Leonard said charges have been suspended for the period of March 19 to April 19 and is urging residents of the Virgin Islands to follow all guidelines issued on Coronavirus COVID-19 such as the washing of hands with soap and water.

Mrs. Scatliffe-Leonard added, “We ask in the same vein that customers restrict usage of the water to sanitary purposes, and to avoid washing down driveways, buildings and any other restricted purposes. Customers with locks on meters are also asked to contact the department concerning their water service.”
