El número de personas en pobreza extrema cae por debajo del 10%

El País (04.10.2015) El número de personas atrapadas en la pobreza extrema se reducirá este año a 702 millones, según las últimas proyecciones del Banco Mundial difundidas este domingo. Los más necesitados del planeta representan así el 9,6% de la población mundial. Es la primera vez que esa proporción desciende del 10%. La organización pronostica que el número de ciudadanos en situación pobreza extrema se reducirá hasta 2020 pero cree que a partir de entonces será muy difícil avanzar hacia el objetivo de erradicar la miseria en 2030.
