Applying new techniques to enhance the governance practices in the Jordanian SSC’s Board

The Jordanian Social Security Corporation (JSSC) has applied new techniques to enhance the governance, aiming to apply appropriate standards, mechanisms and best practices that ensure achieving the organizational goals in strategic level. Through implementing the policies, systems and processes to govern the work of JSSC and develop appropriate frameworks for the integration and involvement of all partners. The new techniques have been applied to define the roles of the Board members, and represent the three parts (government, workers, and employers) in a manner that ensures fairness, and to establish specific controls that ensure proper external oversight of Board performance. Committees have also been created to increase oversight of executive management
