Federal Public Service - Social Security (20.05.2020) May 16, 2020, the Council of Ministers approved a temporary parental allowance for the self-employed. This is a monthly allowance of 532.24 euros (875 euros for single-parent families) for the months of May and / or June 2020 for parents of a child under 12 or disabled.

Who can get it ? Self-employed workers who do not benefit (or no longer) from the temporary bridge law crisis measure for the month in question, and who have therefore resumed or continued their activities, but who, for one month or two months, see the exercise of their independent activity reduced due to the care they must give to their child (ren) in the exceptional circumstances following the COVID-19 crisis.
How much is it? This is a monthly allowance of 532.24 euros (875 euros for single-parent families) for the months of May and / or June 2020 for parents of a child under 12 or disabled.
The request must be made to the social security fund of the person concerned.
At the same Council of Ministers, it was also decided to extend the temporary crisis measure for bridge law for the month of June, under the same conditions as those applicable during the months of March-April-May.
