National Insurance Institute (13.05.2020) Adjustment grant to the 67-year-old and older: Those who have reached the age of 67 and who is fired or whose employer issued it to the USSR in March, April or May 2020 following the Corona crisis may be eligible for grants if he meets the eligibility conditions. Conditions of entitlement to the grant
- You are an Israeli resident.
- You have worked as salaried employee for at least 3 months before you were sent on unpaid leave or dismissed.
- You have stopped working for at least 30 days.
- Your income from retirement pension does not exceed NIS 5,000 per month.
Grant rates
The amount of the grant is determined by your income from retirement pension (old-age pension and other benefits are not taken into account in grant calculation).
Grant for the month of March
- Grant of NIS 2,000 – for people with income from pension below NIS 2,000 or without any such income.
- Grant of NIS 1,500 – for people with income from pension between NIS 2,000 and NIS 4,000.
- Grant of NIS 1,000 – for people with income from pension between NIS 4,000 and NIS 5,000.
Grant for April
The grant for April will be paid to those who were eligible for the March grant and did not return to work in April, or to those who were sent on unpaid leave for 30 days or dismissed in the month of April.
Grant for May
The grant for May will be paid to those who were eligible for the April grant and did not return to work in May, or to those who were sent on unpaid leave for 30 days or dismissed in May.
Amount of grant for the months of April and May:
- Grant of NIS 4,000 – for people with income from pension below NIS 2,000 or without any such income.
- Grant of NIS 3,000 – for people with income from pension between NIS 2,000 and NIS 3,000.
- Grant of NIS 2,000 – for people with income from pension between NIS 3,000 and NIS 4,000.
- Grant of NIS 1,000 – for people with income from pension between NIS 4,000 and NIS 5,000.
