His Excellency Mr. Jamil bin Muhammad Ali Humaidan, Minister of Labor and Social Development, praised the royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the country's monarch, His Majesty, may God preserve and sponsor him, to unite national efforts to confront the repercussions of the global spread of Corona virus "as a benefit of 19" at the local level in a manner that preserves On the health and safety of citizens and residents in parallel with the continuation of the state’s programs and its course of action, achieving sustainable development endeavors for the benefit of citizens, following up on government decisions headed by His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister, and the orders of His Royal Highness Mir Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, First Deputy Prime Minister, to launch a financial and economic package to provide the necessary liquidity for the private sector to deal with the effects of the current conditions to address the virus in order to maintain sustainable growth.


 On this occasion, Humaidan stressed that the royal directives to launch the financial package contribute to addressing any prospective impacts that may affect the lives of citizens and their stability of life, the most important of which is ensuring job stability and providing job opportunities for citizens in the event of any negative effects on the economy.


 Humaidan said that the esteemed government guarantees the payment of salaries of Bahraini citizens working in the private sector for the months of April, May and June of 2020 according to what is registered with the Social Insurance Authority, will ensure stability and sustainability and not compromise the standard of living of citizens, as well as enhance the ability of employers in the event of any impacts Negative due to the impact of business and the pace of the economy by making them more able to face any exceptional circumstances resulting from the current global situation.


 The Minister of Labor and Social Development stated that wage subsidies will be made using the savings of the unemployment insurance fund in which workers, employers and the government contributed, and this is the time for the fund to contribute to stability and sustainability, and its benefits will be reflected on workers, employees, employers and society in general, and will contribute to economic stability Reducing any undesirable effects from the effects of the spread of the Corona virus, at a cost of 215 million dinars to cover the months of April, May and June 2020, at a monthly rate in excess of 70 million dinars, and includes all Bahrainis working in private sector facilities who number about 1 00 thousand employees and workers registered with the Public Authority for Social Insurance.


 During the next few days, the constitutional and legal procedures required to put that decision into practice will be completed, and the executive procedures will be announced accordingly on ways to benefit from this decision.
