measures summary

The Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) program provides temporary benefits to families with children who relied on free or reduced-priced lunch at school.

The State of Michigan was the first state to operate Pandemic EBT,a supplemental food purchasing benefit to current SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) participants and as a new EBT benefit to other eligible households to offset the cost of meals that would have otherwise been consumed at school.

The families of qualifying school-age children can receive upwards of $425 (includes special $100 summer payment) per child through the P-EBT program according to the state.
