$200 food vouchers for vulnerable citizens

The Coronavirus Social Enhancement Aid Stimulus Package which provides access to vulnerable persons within the TCI who have been significantly affected in terms of their social needs.

The benefit is in the amount of $200 to provide food assistance to support a family of four (4) or less.The financial assistance will be provided for a period of three (3) months.

The vulnerable is defined as a person in need of special care, support, or protection because of age, disability, unemployment or risk of abuse or neglect.

The following categories of persons can benefit from this programme:

Elderly: A person over the age of seventy (70) (under a special program in conjunction with the Special Needs Dept. under the Ministry of Health)

Unemployed: A person who is not working and has not been working as a result of the downturn in the economy due to the pandemic COVID19.

Underemployed: A person who is employed and receiving an income of less than $600 per month as a result of the COVID -19.

Single Parent: a person raising a child [ren] without a partner and income is below $600 per month
