Due to the extraordinary situation on the labour market triggered by the COVID-19 health crisis,jobseekers registered with ADEM may currently face difficulties in finding a new job.
For this reason,the entitlement to unemployment benefit is extended for the duration of the crisis. This applies both to the duration of the regular employment benefit and to any extension period.
The period of entitlement to unemployment benefit,which is normally granted for a maximum of 12 months (maximum 24 months in the case of an extension),is therefore extended by a period corresponding to the duration of the crisis.
