Conectar Igualdad Programme

The Conectar Igualdad Programme is a digital inclusion policy, established by Decree No. 459/2010, provides every student and teacher in state secondary schools, teacher training institutes and special education schools in the whole country with a netbook. The Programme is managed by an Executive Committee chaired by Mr Diego Bossio, Executive Director of the National Social Security Administration (Administración Nacional de la Seguridad Social (ANSES)).

Second stage of the Pension Regularization Programme

By Act No. 26970 (complementing previous Act 24476), in September 2014, the national Government introduced a new Pension programme to regularize arrears of pension contributions, extending the time-limit under the Pension Regularization Programme introduced in 2005.

The programme is aimed at those who have reached statutory retirement age (65 for men and 60 for women) or who will reach such age during the two years of the Act's validity, providing them with access to pension benefit provided that they satisfy the minimum length of payments (30 years).

Extension of coverage to difficult-to-cover groups

In the current context of the pension scheme in Korea, low-income employees at small businesses have a higher risk of falling into a blind spot, not covered or benefiting from the social insurance, as they are reluctant to enroll due to the financial burden the pension contributions place on both employers and employees. The Korean society recognized the need to strengthen the social safety net for the vulnerable, particularly those at the lower end of the wage scale.

The roots of current form of social insurance in the I.R. Iran goes back to 1930 which was established under the title of Workers Provident Fund  which became organized in 1975 in the form of Social Security Organization  .

Currently, the SSO as the greatest social insurance body, medical network and pension fund in the region has covered around 40 million persons.
