France Inter (07.03.2016) Demain 8 mars, c’est la journée de la femme. Et comme demain se prépare aujourd’hui, parlons en ce 7 mars de l’égalité homme ou femme sous l’angle du congé paternité. Il est décisif pour rétablir l’équilibre entre hommes et femmes au travail selon une enquête. Aux Etats-Unis, de plus en plus d’hommes vont même jusqu’à poursuivre leur employeur devant les tribunaux pour pouvoir en bénéficier.

[Report] South Africa: Extending social protection to children

Ilo (23.02.2016) Of the 23 million children under the age of 18 in South Africa, about 60 per cent lives in poverty. The Child Support Grant (CSG), introduced in 1998, initially covered only 10 per cent of poor children. Incremental changes in the eligibility criteria and successful awareness-raising campaigns increased the coverage to 11.7 million poor children in 2015, or 85 per cent of the target group. The grant has been shown to have a positive impact on the recipient children and their families.

Argentina: Minimum pension to increase to $4,959 and AUH reaches $966

Buenos Aires Herald (12.02.2016) Pensions and the Universal Child Allowance (AUH) will be increasing by 15.35 percent as of March 1, with minimum pensions clocking in at 4,959 pesos a month. President Mauricio Macri made the announcement and linked the increase with overall concerns about increasing consumer prices.

Le Figaro (13.02.2016) La crise financière des départements, confrontés à l'envolée de leurs dépenses sociales, et en particulier du RSA, commence à avoir des répercussions préoccupantes sur les caisses d'allocation familiales (CAF). Celles-ci tirent d'ailleurs la sonnette d'alarme: les conseils départementaux leur doivent 110 millions d'euros au titre du RSA pour 2015.
