Subsidies have been introduced to working parents who must take leave because of closed schools. The ministry is establishing a new subsidy for employers who allow their employees with children whose school is closed due to Covid19, 100% paid leave. The subsidy amount will be 100% of wage paid to employees up to 8330 yen per person, per day.

As a measure to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, regular employment and non-regular employment are required in order to cope with a decrease in income due to the absence of employees who are guardians of children who attend elementary schools, etc. Regardless of employment, in addition to the annual paid leave of the Labor Standards Act, we will create a subsidy for companies that have paid leave taken.
