The Public Authority for Social Insurance (PASI) was facing network performance issues on remote sites, so we looked at developing a comprehensive approach of WAN optimization and branch office consolidation. Certain applications require very low latency for break free communication e.g. Voice over IP, FileNet, office automation.

This solution helped PASI ensure the smooth running of application without increasing the WAN line speed, which is expensive. There is a dramatic reduction in WAN traffic and 100 times improvement in response time for the oracle based in-house applications, and there is no disturbance in the voice calls. The Office Automation System is a paperless system and the processing time from the braches decreased considerably. The WAN optimization solution can also be used to optimize the VDI traffic (encryption and compression) by a VDI presentation server, which will be implemented.
