Innovative model of education for social security physicians

The Social Security Institution (ZUS) employs certifying physicians (1st instance) and physicians who are members of medical committees (2nd instance) who issue certificates stating incapacity for work in order to determine the right to social security benefits and who control the correctness of issued medical certifications of work incapacity. These physicians specialize in different fields of medicine as Poland has no specialization in medical certification and all postgraduate courses have no single curriculum.

ISSA Good Governance Guidelines in Practice: Service standards for Members and Beneficiaries – The Singapore Experience

The Central Provident Fund (CPF) is a fully-funded, defined contribution scheme, with funds of US-dollar (USD)150 billion, 3.3 million members, and a transaction count of USD44 million. Given the diverse profile and needs of our members, we face the challenges of effectively serving a sophisticated customer base, bridging the digital divide between more versus less IT-savvy members, and delighting members while remaining cost-effective.

E-Resources: Social Security Benefit Resource System - technology in service of citizens

The good practice is subdivided in many others, forming a set. The outcome refers to the management of ongoing processes related to social security benefit resources in Brazil, through an electronic system called e-Resources (e-Recursos). Adapted from the electronic processing system of the Brazilian Judicial Power, it employs an optimized development approach, enabling a very quick implementation (speedy deliveries) by industry professionals and owners of the system development talent (competence management), without any significant additional cost.

Service Transformation Initiative 2014-2016

As reflected in the Service Transformation Initiative 2014-2016, Social Security Board's (SSB's) Organizational Vision on customer-centered service guides the institution in transforming service delivery for the benefit of customers, employees and SSB. This aligns with our belief that to achieve our Vision "To be a model Social Security institution, the pride of Belize" we must dramatically improve the way our beneficiaries and other stakeholders access SSB information and services available to them during critical times of their lives.

A new optimal and secure Cloud infrastructure to reinforce administrative and operational services

The National Social Security Fund (Caisse nationale de sécurité sociale (CNSS)) is considered to be the largest institution in Lebanon in terms of providing social services since it manages more than 1.3 million insured individuals across 37 local and regional offices throughout Lebanon.

The modular nature of the new Cloud infrastructure has enabled us to achieve exactly what we required rather than speculating with a cumbersome Information technology (IT) solution about a hypothetical increase in our activities across Lebanon.

Digital management of medical procedures

Medical committees issue decisions determining the percentage of disability caused by occupational accidents or diseases. Moreover they intervene in the cases of discrepancies over treatment or advice concerning return to work, and to determine the occupational nature of an accident. The management model used is entirely digital and provides a simple, effective and rapid tool for workers, reducing the time taken to process each step and offering the possibility of providing medical consultations when the application is made by the worker, thereby improving the service.
