Drop in China’s social insurance rates could cut labor costs

China Business Review (06.05.2016) Rising labor costs in China are setting off alarms with foreign investors because of increasing minimum wages and living standards, as well as the extensively developed social security system. However, as the central government exerts pressure to maintain economic growth targets, the cost of employees’ welfare benefits has been substantially reduced.

Le fonds de la sécurité sociale chinois a réalisé 15,1% de retour sur investissement

Survey Says 89 Percent Seek Longer Maternity Leave as China Ends One-child Policy

Yibada (18.11.2015) In a survey conducted by China Youth Daily, 88.9 percent of its 2,966 respondents expressed their wish to have a longer maternity leave should they have a second child. Of this number, 40.7 percent hoped the period will be extended to six months, while 26 percent asked for a one-year extension. Another 6.6 percent said that the leave should be prolonged to three years.
