Embracing a Culture of Governance and Compliance - The Ambitious Aims of the Public Institution for Social Security

Responding to global urges for increased awareness in the fields of Governance and Compliance, in 2015, the Public Institution for Social Security (“PIFSS”) or the (“Institution”) devised an ambitious plan to not only introduce the first Governance or Compliance functions in the local government sector, but to set ahead an ambitious and innovatively disruptive strategy to strive for industry leading practice in both fields. The modern global regulatory environment is challenging, and ever-evolving. Today, the world is more connected than ever, requiring businesses and governments to embrace innovations quickly or risk losing an edge. The Public Institution for Social Security has concluded a milestone phase of introducing Governance and Compliance as an important line of defense in the face of countless modern day risks. The ambitious project entailed restructuring many policies, methods, as well as the introduction of several new departments focused on specialized and critical areas of the investment sector. Due to the strategic directives of the executive branch at PIFSS, along with the relentless initiatives and efforts of the employees taking part in this ambitious project.
