Eliminating the overlaps of insurance periods for those with at least two simultaneous insurance relation in the same period of time (at least one day) in different insurance branches of the Iranian Social Security Organization (ISSO) is implemented to prevent illegal receiving of one benefit and also to promote quality, effectiveness and efficiency of the social security services focused on registration and individual accounts section. This has led to significant impact on the social security organization's resources and expenses The plan is related to reengineering the identification process of eligible persons, which is a potential task of the ISSO, leading to improved enforcement of related laws and regulations. Meanwhile, this plan is also a prerequisite of preventing the overlaps of insurance periods among different insurance programs mentioned in paragraph (j), note 176 of the total budget law of the country in 2018 as well as paragraph (g) of Article 70 of the 6th development plan of the I.R. Iran.
