Improvement of the information management system for staff selection

  • Recruitment of Human Resources in the Social Health Insurance Institute (Seguro Social de Salud (EsSalud) was carried out through the reception of documents that were delivered physically in the same Assistance Network (or Hospital), producing an applicant participation lower than expected (mainly in positions for specialty physicians in more remote areas of the country), shortage in Human Resources, and complaints from citizens through the country.
     
  • Furthermore, the areas ended up crammed with the amount of positions called for (6,230 in 2013, 4,680 in 2014, and 3,022 to date), which generated health issues among workers and produced occupational risk.
     
  • Therefore, we created the Staff Selection System (Sistema de Selección de Personal (SISEP)) in order to enable online enrollment through the country, producing feedback on the fulfillment of application requirements and formats with affidavit validation, which resulted in a simplified administrative management.
     
  • The initiative, completely developed by professionals of EsSalud, was jointly carried out with marketing strategies that have given place to a database of 27,393 potential applicants through the nation.
