Part of Decree 1474 that grants special protection (healthcare and labor and social security matters) for elderly people during the health emergency caused by COVID-19 (Decreto de prevención, atención y protección de adultos mayores. Includes:
- Every public and private entity has the duty to provide information on older adults to the authorities (particularly comprehensive care centers for the elderly)
- Mandatory COVID-19 testing for at risk elderly people entering the services of the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations in order to guarantee their right to health and avoid contagion
- Health care for older adults during the health emergency includes mental health care
