Structure

The corporate application of ICT in social security institutions requires establishing policies and practices to carry out the wide spectrum of ICT-related activities in a consistent and systematic way. Such policies and practices are addressed by the disciplines of ICT governance and management, which aim to guide organizations (in particular, medium and large ones) to improve effectiveness and efficiency in their application of ICT.

The use of information and communication technology (ICT) in social security institutions represents a global trend. As institutions turn to ICT, the goal is the development of solutions that enable them to accomplish their mission, providing high-quality services, satisfying stakeholders and improving efficiency of key processes. Moreover, the challenges resulting from social security’s permanent evolution require a more intensive and sophisticated use of technology in the social security domain.

The National Health Alarm Services of Korea have offered various health alarms to the public 2 3 before the epidemic spreads out in earnest. They combine different data from diverse sources such as national health information from National Health Insurance Service (NHIS), SNS(twitter, blog, etc.) data from Daumsoft Corporation, climate information from Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA), air pollution information from Ministry of Environment (MOE) and food poisoning information from Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS).

Field Inspection Development "RASED"

This good practice allows employer, contributor, & the General Organization for Social Insurance "GOSI" to save effort & cost by completing the inspection's cycle electronically in a timely manner. In fact, we understand the importance role of inspection in enlightening the employers in applying the system, and regulations correctly in their entities. A new system RASED was integrated with GOSI main system to fetch all inspection data. Also, it will assign the field visits according to the best suitable available inspector.
