With its Rehabilitation 3.0 concept the VBG is systematically implementing the targets set by the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities - such as full and effective integration and respect for self-determination. Rehabilitation 3.0 comprises:

• on the one hand an adaptation and clarification of rehabilitation management aims, processes and instruments to conform to the UN CRPD; and
   
• on the other hand an upgrade of rehabilitation processes that is more transparent and suitable in quality management terms to guarantee a standard provision of services at all locations, while at the same time optimising resource use through more focussed case management.

VBG has initiated various projects and studies and started a pilot process in order to implement the concept successfully. The ISSA guidelines in particular, with their seven specific principles for restoring the ability to work, were consulted as an aid and guidance in adapting the content of aims, processes and instruments.
