Employees exposed to occupational noise in Switzerland are regularly examined under the SUVA "audiomobile" programme.

Any findings that are outside limits are routinely recorded in audiograms. These are then transferred to ENT specialists for examination.

The possibility of using video otoscopy as part of the 'audiomobile' examination suite makes it possible to view the state of a patient's auditory canal and eardrum and allows the SUVA ENT specialist responsible to assess the condition. Additional examinations by ENT specialists are thus avoided and a better assessment made possible.
