  • The management should institute training sessions for occupational health professionals and/or signpost professional development opportunities provided by other institutions.
  • If feasible and desirable, the management should establish an incentive scheme to encourage the development of occupational health services in client enterprises/organizations.
  • If feasible and desirable, the management should establish an occupational health service that delivers services to client enterprises/organizations based on a service fee.

  • The board/management should use all possible means to raise awareness among client enterprises/organizations of the need to build capacity to protect and promote employee well-being through occupational health services.
  • The board/management should raise the awareness of decision-makers within client enterprises/organizations of the benefits of occupational health services.
  • The board/management should facilitate capacity building within occupational health teams for workplace health promotion in client enterprises/organizations.
  • The board/management should investigate the possibility of establishing an incentive scheme to encourage the development of occupational health services in client enterprises/organizations.
  • The board/management should investigate the possibility of establishing an occupational health service from which client enterprises/organizations can “buy services”, which could also be combined with a return-to-work service.
