- The management should ensure that development of workplace health promotion is driven by knowledge and skills, including expertise in health topics as well as management, planning, coordination and communication skills across diverse audiences.
- The management should ensure there is an adequate human resources plan which addresses any skill gaps through training, recruitment and knowledge development.
- The management should ensure that development of workplace health promotion includes staff learning opportunities.
- The management should allocate resources for workplace health promotion based on identified needs and availability of resources, emphasizing synergies among existing activities and services, and seeking collaboration with other stakeholders.
- Where internal expertise or resources are not available, the management should consider engaging an external provider, taking into consideration their professional accreditation and reputation, cost and availability, the appropriateness of their service, evidence of its impact and insurance.
