- The management should establish programmes to develop and train staff representatives, who are the key internal stakeholders in workplace health promotion.
- Client enterprises/organizations should establish working groups based around key stakeholders – including trade unions, occupational safety and health and occupational health services (OHS) professionals, and employees – to support and advance workplace health promotion.
- The management should consider identifying stakeholders with a combined interest in prevention, the return to work and workplace health promotion. In doing so, it should not overlook the specificity of each of these areas and the importance of working effectively with stakeholders to achieve the specific objectives of each.

- The board/management should acknowledge the stakeholders in workplace health promotion within its own organization and set up processes and procedures that encourage them to work together effectively.
- The board/management should identify and work with other stakeholders to promote workplace health promotion at national and regional levels.
- The board/management should encourage client enterprises/organizations to identify the stakeholders in workplace health promotion in their own organization, and develop systems to enable the institution and client organization to collaborate.
