measures summary

Aged, carer, family and disability welfare recipients will receive $500 in cash payments in the next five months, in a move the Federal Government hopes will stimulate the Australian economy.
Two $250 payments — to be paid in December 2020 and March 2021 — will come as Australia contends with its first recession in almost three decades.

The recipients will be people who receive the age pension, disability support pension, carer payment, family tax benefit, family tax benefit lump sum, double orphan pension, carer allowance, Commonwealth seniors health card, pensioner concession card and veteran card.
