The President of Chile just announced a second delivery of “Alimentos Para Chile”, a program that will deliver food baskets to vulnerable families. The program started in late May (announced on May 18th). Approximately 3 million baskets of nonperishable food and hygiene products will be delivered directly to the homes of the beneficiaries. According to the president, 70 % of the most vulnerable will benefit from this program. The deliveries will start no later than May 25 and will be carried out with help of the Armed Forces and the Carabineros de Chile.
