All public servants in Nevis who have children in pre-school or day care shall
be required to take vacation due to them immediately. Those who have no
vacation time due to them will be asked to obtain the written permission of
the relevant ministry for which they work to proceed on leave so that they can
stay at home with their infants. The NIA will continue to pay the salaries and
wages of such persons for the initial period of six weeks subject to further
evaluation.
