Automatic Payment of Electronic Temporary Incapacity Reports (e-Payment) for the self-employed

Temporary Incapacity Allowance Programme (e-Payment) is a software which the Turkish Social Security Institution put into operation in July 2012 especially for insured persons who have a service contract with one or more employers. In August 2015, it was upgraded to also include the self-employed.

This programme:

  • Allows temporary incapacity reports that are drawn up by health-care service providers to be sent to the SSI in electronic form.
  • Automatically calculates the temporary incapacity allowances for insured persons who are confronted by occupational or social risks.
  • Sends the payments for the calculated allowances to authorized bank agents.

This programme encompasses temporary incapacity reports on maternity and nursing status, work accidents, and occupational diseases for the self-employed.
