Mechanism
Mechanism
- If required, and on the basis of robust economic analysis, the institution should make recommendations and proposals for adjustment to the amount of unemployment benefit, the duration of benefit and other relevant parameters.
- The institution should consider or propose recommendations to ensure that after a return to work either as an employee or a self-employed person, or following an interruption to work for a legitimate reason (including childcare, education and training), the covered person may retain any previous rights to unemployment protection.
- The institution should monitor labour market evolution, particularly for emerging atypical forms of employment that may affect eligibility for benefits and, if necessary, make recommendations to adapt the legal framework.

Structure
Structure
- The board should monitor the situation to ensure that the unemployment benefit legislation allows for adequate compensation and does not constitute a barrier to the return-to-work process. Nevertheless, the level and duration of the benefit should guarantee income that allows for a meaningful search for work.
