Mechanism
- The management should support employers’ training initiatives in relation to the evolution of professions and technologies.
- Lifelong training should be supported.
- The management should use predictive career path analysis related to specific job categories, as some professions might be difficult to exercise, e.g. beyond a certain age or without updated qualifications, and inform employees accordingly.
- The management should propose counselling and guidance services, if necessary, in collaboration with other service providers, to workers who wish to be assessed and to develop or move on in their career, e.g. by changing roles or jobs.
- The management should ensure that training, where necessary, offers possibilities for career changes, particularly towards professions with labour shortages or in growing sectors of the labour market.
